We’re a family run company who’ve been offering walking tours of Victoria, Canada since 1999.
After a career in the museums and history industry, John Adams decided to bring his passion for sharing Victoria’s stories to life. His vision was to create a unique, engaging experience of Victoria’s rich history by sharing true stories on the streets, in the actual locations where history happened. Discover the Past and Ghostly Walks were born from that vision.
Today, Discover the Past continues to be run by John Adams, along with his son, Chris, a fellow history enthusiast and storyteller. Together, along with their exceptional team of guides, John and Chris lead thousands of people through the streets of Victoria each year, using their extensive research and passion for storytelling to bring history to life.
